ENM013 New Mexico Math Engineering Science Achievement and the 2014 Oil and Gas Career Education Fair

New Mexico MESA (Math Engineering Science Achievement) is an organization whose mission is to: “Empower and motivate New Mexico’s culturally diverse students with science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) enrichment.” On October 28th and 29th, NM MESA students will be attending the 2014 Oil and Gas Career Education Fair.
The New Mexico Oil and Gas Education Fair provides students the opportunity interact with outstanding professionals in the oil and gas Industry. Students will be given the opportunity to discover job possibilities in the many different areas that are related to the oil and gas industry and attend quality workshops, as well as visit oil and gas exploration sites. The Oil and Gas Education Fair is a statewide high school leadership activity and will involve aspects of a professional conference, i.e. workshops, presentations, field trips, hands-on demonstrations, etc. In this episode of the Energy New Mexico Podcast, Amanda Trujillo and Anita Gonzales discuss NM MESA’s goals and impact and specifics of the upcoming event focused on oil and gas.
